In moving beyond the fatalism of the ‘graph of doom’ councils are starting to harness the power of behavioural insight. With Increased demand on public services, councils are increasingly looking creatively at how they manage it. This award recognises those Local Authorities (and their partners) that have developed a better understanding of their citizens and partners and used that insight to change behaviours, save money and improve outcomes as a result.

 
Judges will be looking for evidence of:
·         Creative approaches to understanding and changing citizen and staff behaviour
·         Reduced cost to the public purse
·         Sustainability and replicability of approach.
